Hästhagen, Söderfors
Hästhagen is a residential area now abandoned in the small town of Söderfors, Sweden. It was built during the industrial boom in the 60s and was used for a short period to house refugees in the 90s.
The owner of the 7 buildings decided to tear it down in 1995 but went bankrupt a year later. Since then there's been a vivid debate over who should pay for the demolition and it's simply been left standing to deteriorate.
